Tragedy – and inner
peace
"I
tend to stand by the Hindu concept of karma: that situations and
opportunities come to one from one's previous history. One is then likely to
automatically react in such a manner that the karma gets propagated. To
avoid doing this, and to think before acting, to choose the right action
instead of blindly taking an eye for an eye, one must develop a very high
level of awareness, and work hard to remain aware from one moment to the
next. Sonali's suffering, and Babaji's blessings which helped us to cope
with it, are all part of my karma."
What
led P.P. and his family to Milwaukee? In this chapter, he tells of one of
saddest interludes in his life, and how it led him to the United States of
America. It was also during this time that he first met the holy Swami Ram
Baba who was to become one of his guiding posts, and the biggest support of
his life.
